Description

UMBC undergraduate students are invited to attend a virtual town hall to learn about the new Master of Science in Applied Data Science, launching in Fall 2026. This session will introduce students to the program structure, curriculum, career pathways, and opportunities for students interested in continuing their graduate studies at UMBC.

The town hall will highlight how the MS in Applied Data Science builds on applied data science skills while adding stronger theoretical and methodological foundations. Students will also learn about admissions considerations, course requirements, career outcomes, and how the program may support industry, research, and PhD-oriented goals.

This session is especially relevant for undergraduates in computing, engineering, mathematics, statistics, information systems, economics, sciences, and related fields who are interested in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, analytics, or applied research.
